Interested in a PhD project at the very forefront of fluid mechanics, soft matter and engineering? We are currently seeking a PhD student in fluid mechanics to join our group.
As part of LUBFLOW, funded by the European Research Council (ERC), this project leverages computational fluid mechanics to explore fundamental questions about multiphase fluid flows interacting with complex surfaces and materials. Specifically, the candidate will develop and apply state-of-the-art numerical codes to study transport processes in both laminar and turbulent flows containing two or more fluid phases. Our primary focus is on understanding how complex surfaces—whether rough, porous, or lubricated—can be used to control transport processes. This research has potential applications across multiple sectors, including energy, healthcare, and engineering.
The application deadline for this position is 31 March, and interested candidates can apply here.
